Data Mobility

Instead of spending capital on bricks and mortar for points of presence and market penetration, JBI has developed a Mobile Data Recovery Unit.

Mobile Data Recovery Unit

At John Bordynuik Inc. (JBI), we understand that many data recovery and management projects cannot be transported to our 32,000-square-foot corporate office and production warehouse in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Also, once we have completed the data recovery process for our clients, they may have ongoing data management needs that must be met onsite. And so, we have developed a mobile option that offers the same custom technology and commitment to precision and discretion that is available at our headquarters.

Our 40-foot self-contained unit is equipped with all of JBI’s magnetic media recovery technology and is fully transportable to any location in the world.

This unit enables us to bring our technologies and processes directly to your sites should you be unable to ship your tapes to us due to their sensitive nature or due to governmental regulations.

A Unique, Patent-Pending Process

Once onsite, we are able to work quickly and efficiently. One operator can run 18 drives simultaneously, allowing 700 reel-to-reel tapes to be processed per shift.

There is no possibility that data will become lost or compromised, as all data is preserved on a secure backup server.

Those clients who use our Mobile Data Recovery Unit benefit from the same patent-pending process employed at our Niagara Falls, Ontario headquarters, which:

  • Reads the data stored on any computer-generated media, including data previously considered unreadable because it is damaged or encrypted
  •  Extracts and records all data as a digital image that includes all source code
  •  Normalizes all recovered data using custom software known as the Swahili Engine, which can also be purchased to remain onsite and meet future data deciphering and management needs
  •  Converts raw data into the modern file formats requested by clients, which are then delivered with a report providing details about the information.

Customers are all over the world - and we can meet them there.
